Corban’s Coding Club
St. Corban’s Coding Club provides participating students an opportunity to learn the basics of computer programming in a team setting. Introducing children to coding at a young age gives them opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, computational thinking, cognitive skills, persistence, creativity, digital literacy, confidence and communication skills. The pupils learn block coding using Micro:bits and Lego Spike Kits. There is no need for pupils to have experience using Micro:bits or Lego Spike to take part.
Corban’s Coding Club sessions are for pupils in 5th and 6th class. The class lasts one hour from 2.25pm – 3:25pm and it will take place in the Computer Room. Parents in these classes will receive a notification via Aladdin prior to the commencement of the sessions.
