Corban’s Coding Club
2023 brought the beginning of an exciting new initiative for our school, Corban’s Coding Club! The Coding Club provides participating students an opportunity to learn the basics of computer programming in a team setting. Introducing children to coding at a young age gives them opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, computational thinking, cognitive skills, persistence, creativity, digital literacy, confidence and communication skills. The pupils learn block coding using Micro:bits. There is no need for pupils to have experience using Micro:bits to take part.
Corban’s Coding Club sessions are for pupils in 5th and 6th class. The class lasts one hour from 2.25pm – 3:25pm and it will take place in the Computer Room. Parents in these classes will receive a notification via Aladdin prior to the commencement of the sessions.
